A message from Chris Beer, XLR Director
Thank you for visiting our website. I hope you find everything you need to plan your next business jet flight into our jet centres at Birmingham, Exeter, Liverpool and Bournemouth. All four XLR Executive Jet Centres are open for business and have remained so throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, with reduced staffing covering different periods of the day and all appropriate safety measures in place.
During this pandemic and certainly until 30 June 2020, our jet centres each have local restrictions in place, with enhanced opening hours different to those published on this website. These restrictions are being regularly reviewed and might differ depending on which centre you are interested in using. Please use the contact information to speak directly with our Jet Centre Mangers about their latest up-to-date local restrictions.
All of the jet centres are being cleaned on a regular basis, at least three times per day, with a greater cleaning regime when customers have used the facilities. Anti-bacterial wipes are used as well as sanitisers that kill 99% of germs on hard surfaces. Our staff have gloves and masks and you should not be surprised to see these being worn.
We have also introduced a ‘hands-off’ policy, including no shaking of hands with any of our customers or vendors, and baggage is being handled only by staff wearing full PPE. Social distancing is in force to protect our customers and staff and we ask all visitors to respect this and follow the same guidelines. XLR staff members will no longer board aircraft, due to the confined spaces onboard, and keep their distance from passengers and crew. All catering received in boxes is wiped down anti-bacterial wipes before being loaded onto the aircraft.
A health questionnaire will be sent to all customers prior to travel, with all handling confirmations. It is vital we receive these before the flight departs. On arrival, and on the advice of the CAA, the captain will be given a GAD (General Aviation Declaration) which must be completed and signed by the commander of the aircraft prior to disembarkation. If any passenger or crew member display any symptoms of Covid-19, Port Health England will be notified, and appropriate measures will be put in place. If a passenger develops symptoms whilst flying into the UK, the captain should declare this on arrival and keep the aircraft door closed, awaiting further instruction.
Importantly to me, I want you to enjoy using XLR Executive Jet Centres and remain safe in doing so. Clearly the world is in a much different place than it has been in the past – but if we all adhere to the new rules and regulations and measures we have put in place, we will we be able to offer a very safe environment whilst delivering the same outstanding level of customer service you are used to.
